Construction of Echo Valley's original 18 holes began in 1968. The golf
course was ready for play the following year. The clubhouse was completed in
1970 with the swimming pool and tennis courts opening in 1971. Our newest nine,
The Ridge, opened for play in May 2004.
During its history, the club has steadily grown to its current
membership, and continues to grow and improve to better suit the
members' needs. Unlike other clubs in the area, Echo Valley
does not assess members for capital improvements. Instead, Echo
Valley is run as a private business, with an eye on controlling
expenses so that funds are available from operations to continually
improve the club.
In addition to being within the economic reach of most families,
Echo Valley boasts some of the best facilities in the area. Our
members enjoy one of the finest 27-hole championship golf courses
in the state, four lighted tennis courts, an Olympic-sized pool,
and a clubhouse that extends an elegant yet friendly welcome to
all our members and their guests.
Open year round, the club has stayed true to its mission to offer
personal attention and affordable luxury to families without restrictions.
For instance, when couples join, both are full members of the club.
Set in peaceful, country-like surroundings, Echo Valley Country
Club is located in a residential and recreational community on
Echo Valley Drive, just south of the Des Moines Airport. This ideal
location places us 10 minutes from any downtown address, 10 minutes
from West Des Moines, and just a few minutes from the southwest
Des Moines area. With Highway 5 South Bypass now in place, all
roads lead to Echo Valley Country Club.
