Club Policies
THESE GUIDELINES HAVE BEEN COMPILED TO HELP MAKE YOUR MEMBERSHIP
AT ECHO VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB MORE ENJOYABLE.
General Rules
- Each member shall be responsible to the Club for their conduct
and the conduct of their guests.
- No sale to minors of cigarettes, beer, or liquor is allowed.
- No dependent children shall be permitted to attend any adult
function, unless accompanied by their parent.
- Members making reservations for Club functions are required
to pay for the full number of reservations made. Reservations
for all Club parties must be made no later than RSVP date. All
cancellations of reservations should be made no later than noon
of the day of the party, where practical.
- No member shall reprove any employee. All complaints regarding
the employees or service must be made to the Management.
- Complaints of any kind relating to the Club should be made to
the Club Manager.
- The Clubhouse is a smoke-free environment. Smoking will be allowed on the golf course, patio, deck, and swim pool areas.
Dress Code
- No blue denim jeans or cut-offs are allowed at the club at any
time (unless specified in the Club News for a special event).
- Shirts and footwear are required in all areas of the club with
the exception of the locker rooms and pool area.
- Please use common sense regarding all clothing apparel when
visiting the club. It is recommended that everyone wear a shirt
with a collar or an acceptable Crew Style shirt (crude and untasteful
printing is unacceptable).
- Echo Valley Country Club enforces the use of Soft Spike golf
shoes only and you are allowed to wear golf shoes in all areas
of the club.
- Only designated tennis shoes are permitted on the tennis courts.

- Non-Resident Golf Membership
Granted to anyone living in a permanent residence 100 miles or more from the club
Provides access for member and family to all club facilities including:
Golf (no more than 25 rounds of golf per calendar year)
Tennis
Swim Pool
Clubhouse
Aspen Athletic Club (optional)
Special Guest Pass
- A member may, upon application to the Club Office, obtain a
special "Full Privilege Family Guest Pass" for visitors of a member,
entitling the visiting family to all of the privileges of the
regular members in the use of the clubhouse, golf course, and
other facilities of the club. The cost of a "Family Guest Membership"
is $200.00 for one week.
- A member may, upon application to the Club Office, obtain a
special "Social Family Guest Pass" for visitors of a member,
entitling the visiting family to privileges of the swimming
pool, tennis
courts, and the clubhouse. The cost of the "Social Family Guest
Pass" is $60.00 per week.
Membership Cards
Each member is issued a card with an identifying number. Members
(and family) must use this number on all Club charge tickets/transactions
Statements and Payment of Accounts
- All purchases from the Club shall be on a charge ticket basis with the exception of golf merchandise purchases which may be either charge or cash.
- There is a 15% service charge added to all food and beverage
tickets.
- Charges will be billed monthly. The billing cycle is from the
20th of the month through the 19th of the subsequent month. Dues
and Entertainment Fund charges are billed monthly in advance (example:
March statements will include April Dues and Entertainment Fund).
- The balance due on each statement must be paid in full no later
than the 5th of the month following the date of the statement.
A finance charge of 1.5% per month, which is an annual percentage
rate of 18%, will be charged on all unpaid balances over $20.00
remaining on your account at the time your next monthly statement
is prepared.
- Any members having amounts in excess of 60 days past due will
be placed on suspension until their entire past due amount is
paid in full. Members on suspension will not be allowed any Club
privileges. Any members having amounts in excess of 120 days past
due will have their Club membership forfeited and the Club will
commence legal proceedings (at the expense of the member) to collect
the full amount due.
- If you feel there is an error on your account, or you do not
understand certain charges, please contact the Club General Office
immediately for correction or clarification. Any disputed charges
on your statement must be reconciled prior to the time your next
monthly statement is prepared
- Members are responsible for payment of all charges (including
Dues and Entertainment Fund) until such time as written notification
of resignation is received at the Club's General Office. Resignation
notice must be hand delivered or sent by certified mail to the
Club's General Office.
Golf Rules & Etiquette
- Each member must arrange tee times prior to arrival by calling
285-7355. Tee time scheduling can be done as early as 10 days
ahead of time.
- All members and guests must register in the Golf Shop before
play.
- Start play at assigned tee time.
- Club goal is a 4-hour 20 minute 18-Hole round of golf. If you
are not keeping pace with the group ahead of you, then you will
be asked to speed up or be unable to schedule prime tee times.
- Do not interrupt play of others.
- Replace all divots. Repair ball marks on greens and rake sand
traps.
- Do not leave carts or bags in front of greens. When finished
putting, clear the green promptly and record your score at the
next tee.
- Must be 16 to operate motorized golf carts.
- Operate carts in a safe manner.
- No more than two riders and two bags per cart.
- Carts must be kept 30 feet from the greens and on paved paths
by the tees.
- Carts permitted on paved paths and roughs. Cross fairways at
a 90 degree angle.
- Carts prohibited between sand traps and greens or sidehill
of tees and greens.
- No more than two carts per foursome. Number in group will determine
number of carts.
- Fivesomes are allowed (all players must ride carts).
- Any member entered in a club tournament wishing to cancel needs
to do so before 12 Noon the day before the tournament. If you
fail to do so, the tournament entry fee will be charged to your
account.
Guests
You must register guests at the Golf Shop before playing. Non-members
may be a guest no more than three times in a golfing season and
must play with a member.
Playing Rules
U.S.G.A. rules and local ground rules shall govern play. Play must
commence at No. 1 tee unless otherwise authorized by the golf professional
or starter.
Handicaps
Handicaps will be entered on the GHIN Handicap system. A minimum
of five posted scores is required to establish a handicap or
have
a currently established U.S.G.A
